The Jumbo is used where large volume blending is required. The blending of powders with diluent and the microbiological testing of complete recipe dishes are two popular applications.

The Biowasher was originally designed to process the large volume of filter fibres derived from cartridge filters used in testing water for parasites.

The technique involves filtering very large amounts of water and extracting the material retrieved to stain and microscopically observe for cryptosporidium and giardia.

The Stomacher® method for preparing the samples is referenced throughout the world for this technique.

The Bioreactor is used in the pork industry to prepare samples for analysis for Trichinella. The machine has a heater element inside the door and the samples of pork meat are digested inside the bag with enzyme and HCl acid. The resultant slurry is sieved and examined under microscopy for the presence of the Trichinella parasite.

The Stomacher® technique is the world standard for this application. All pork products imported into the EU and the USA have to have traceability back to the beast from which the meat was obtained.

Trichenella testing is an essential part of that documentation.

The Bioreactor has a number of additional applications based on its ability to blend and incubate simultaneously and it can be used in a range of enzyme digestion processes and fermentation applications.
